White Winter

In the mountainous areas of southern Germany it can sometimes become suddenly and exceedingly wintery. Where there was no snow one day, can become a ski paradise the next day. On one such day, I took a day trip with my partner to a partially frozen lake in Hinterzarten, just a half-hour train ride from home. We enjoyed the snow, knowing that it might all be gone just a few weeks later!
